Little Brother Messing with Older Brother
Owen was having fun the other day putting a bowl on Nathan's head. It was really cute! Owen also likes to grab Nate's hand, pat his head (sometimes a little too hard), and "give him love" -which really means kiss or hug, but we call it love, because he gets really close to Nate's face and just stares at him. Or sometimes, he'll just put his head down really close to his chest. I'm trying to get a good pic of him doing it because it's just precious. Not sure Nate knows what to think about it. Owen is also fascinated by Nate's pulse ox probe. It has a red light on it and Owen puts his face very close to it and just stares at it. It's fun to get Nate out in the living room because Owen is able to get closer to him. I think Nate likes it, he sure smiles and laughs a lot (unless Owen gets too rough and then he makes faces like "I'm not too comfortable with this!"). But Nate sure takes a lot more from Owen than he does from me or any of the nurses. If we were to grab his arms or pat his head the way Owen does, I don't think he would like it!
I LOVE watching the boys together. I know Owen is going to be the best brother to Nathan and we are so thankful for that.

Update
I'm getting over a nasty cold/sinus thing and Owen just got it yesterday. So far, Nate and Trey have stayed healthy. We are praying that Nate does not get this because it starts in the head and then goes to the lungs. We are being extra careful and keeping Owen away from Nate and out of his room as much as possible. Owen isn't too happy about that, since Nate's room is his favorite place to go! And it's hard, because I seem to be in there all the time and I can't leave Owen unattended THAT'S FOR SURE! I'm glad Trey is home for the weekend!
The weather has been CRAZY - I'm sick of it! Literally, I think that's what made me sick - the weather (well, that and no sleep since we had no night nurse three nights in a row last week and the usual stress.). Anyways, these are pics of the boys IN SHORTS last week at the park and then it snowed this week and we had freezing rain this morning. I think by next week spring should finally be arriving. I can't wait to have warm weather and all of these illnesses gone! I want to take Nate to school, to the zoo, get him in the pool and all that other fun stuff you can do in the spring/summer! Owen is getting a new tricycle soon so that will be fun for him!
Thanks for checking in and please pray Nate doesn't get sick!

More Owen in the Snow/Sleet
Roxy wanted to play ball, but Owen couldn't bend down or pick up the ball. He also tried to climb up the slide which was total ice, so he slipped and fell. Didn't seem to bother him. He was so serious outside today. I think he was trying to figure out what all the white stuff was and also trying to figure out how to move in his eight layers of clothes!
Surviving the Storm
We're staying in and staying warm! Sleet and ice and it continues. Thank the Lord Trey made it home from his business trip last night. He left last Friday for New Orleans and flew back yesterday. Made it to Dallas, but all flights to Tulsa were canceled. He DROVE in this stuff! But luckily, he made it home safe and sound. Which is a good thing, since the nurses can't get here and I would've been all alone. It was a tough weekend with Trey gone!
Nate is doing good. He still struggles some, but is doing much better. We even went out last week to the school to practice driving his power chair. He hadn't driven it in awhile and he has a new switch he had only used a couple of times, but he did GREAT!
